NEW DELHI, Sep 23: Shoots & Shoots Photography & Film Academy organised a photography walk at Potters Village to provide students and photography enthusiasts with hands-on experience in documenting traditional art, local culture and everyday life.
The walk, conducted under the guidance of Academy Director Shyam Prasad, was attended by academy students, senior photographers and other participants.
The participants photographed traditional pottery, artisans at work, handicrafts, local lifestyles and the surroundings of the village, gaining practical exposure to documentary and cultural photography.
During the walk, Prasad guided participants on lighting, framing, composition, lens selection and documentary photography. He encouraged them to use photography to capture stories, emotions and cultural practices in their surroundings.
“Photography is not just about taking pictures; it is an art of understanding society, culture and emotions,” he said.
The participants said the walk provided an opportunity to observe folk culture and traditional art from a photographic perspective while working in real-world conditions.
The academy said it would continue to organise practical activities and photography walks to provide learners and enthusiasts with opportunities to develop their technical and creative skills through field-based experiences.
