CHAMBANG, Sep 23: A three-day Block Level Foundation-cum-Functional Training Programme for newly elected PRI members and functionaries got underway at Chambang block in Kra-Daadi district.
The programme aims to strengthen the capacity of PRI representatives and functionaries for participatory, inclusive and accountable grassroots governance and improved public service delivery.
Sponsored and initiated by the State Institute of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (SIRD&PR), GoAP, the programme brings together PRI representatives and frontline functionaries, including ZPMs, GPMs, GPCs, BDOs, member secretaries, Gram Sevikas, Anganwadi Workers, ANMs, ASHAs and line department functionaries.
Inaugurating the programme, member secretary-cum-circle officer Chambang Dr Tadang Rai welcomed the participants and emphasised the importance of strengthening Panchayati Raj Institutions and grassroots governance. He urged participants to actively engage in the sessions, raise questions, seek clarifications and share field-level experiences.
Tamar Baki, Course Director of the three-day programme and faculty member, SIRD&PR, will conduct the training sessions over the three days, covering Panchayati Raj governance, participatory planning, financial management, flagship schemes, transparency and accountability, inclusive governance and service delivery.
