ITANAGAR, Sep 28: In a significant move to strengthen the skill development ecosystem across the State, the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM), GoAP signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with seven Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) at the ArSRLM conference hall here today for the implementation of skill development and placement-linked training programmes under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) 2.0.
The partnering organizations are Assam Professional Academy; Nitya Foundation; Skills2Skills LLP; Spurthi Rural Development Society; Sundyne Solar Solution Pvt Ltd; Nurture Employability & Economic Development Society (NEEDS); and SHEEP Society.
This partnership is a strategic initiative to expand access to industry-oriented skill training for rural youth of Arunachal Pradesh, enhance their employability, and facilitate sustainable livelihood opportunities through placement-linked training. The collaboration leverages the technical expertise, resource management capabilities, and institutional strengths of ArSRLM in conjunction with the domain-specific competencies and ground-level implementation networks of the participating PIAs.
Sangeeta Yirang, Chief Executive Officer-cum-State Mission Director (CEO-cum-SMD), ArSRLM, addressing the gathering, emphasized the critical role of skill development in empowering rural youth and creating meaningful employment pathways.
“The success of DDU-GKY 2.0 will depend significantly on the institutional commitment, accountability, and active participation of all stakeholders,” she stated.
The CEO-cum-SMD urged the implementing agencies to ensure quality training delivery, strict adherence to prescribed standards, and meaningful placement opportunities for all trained candidates. She highlighted the importance of close coordination and regular communication with ArSRLM for effective project implementation and achievement of DDU-GKY 2.0 objectives.
The Chief Operating Officer (COO–Skills), ArSRLM, in his address, underscored the necessity of robust inter-agency coordination and systematic adherence to DDU-GKY 2.0 guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). He called upon all implementing agencies to ensure timely completion of training activities, undertake regular monitoring and quality assurance at training centres, and maintain full transparency and accountability in project expenditure and outcomes.
