ITANAGAR, Sep 28: Rajya Sabha MP Tai Tagak, accompanied by MLA Tai Nikio, Kra Daadi Deputy Commissioner Yame Higio, BJP Kurung Kumey district president Phassang Bunghi, district in-charge Toko Bath, NHIDCL officials and representatives of the road project, inspected critical road blockage points at Dokio, Langpo and Langba in Kra Daadi district.
The team also visited the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV), Pagba.
During the inspection, Tagak said the identified stretches face repeated road blockages during the rainy season, causing inconvenience to commuters, damage to vehicles and public property, and disruption of essential movement.
He said the critical locations are particularly important for connectivity towards Kurung Kumey, adding that road blockages severely affect movement, especially during medical emergencies and other essential and official journeys.
Tagak stressed the need for a permanent solution to the recurring problem and suggested that a detailed technical survey be conducted to assess the feasibility of alternative engineering solutions, including construction of a viaduct bridge or tunnel.
The MP also called for coordinated efforts among the concerned agencies to address the connectivity issues affecting the area.
