Bid to intensify the involvement of PRIs and other stakeholders in strengthening the delivery of ICDS services at grassroots level

CHAYANGTAJO, Oct 3: The Chayangtajo ICDS Project is observing a series of community-oriented programmes under ‘Angan Ka Utsav’, ‘Angan Milan Seva’, ‘Jan Seva Se Desh Seva’, and ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ across various Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) under the project from September 25 to October 7.

The programmes are being conducted at AWCs in Nari Camp, Mangfi Mangam, Bodi, Nampe Beyong, Langruk Tajo, Domdila, Kamke, Sawa HQs, Eri Tajo, Tajo village, Paffa, Laching Bagang, Sangchu Sullong, Jayang Bagang, Killo, Jomoh, Wallong, Doripu Bagang, Wada Bagang, Rebe, Namchar Bagang, Tamak Sullong, Soshi Bagang, Chayangtajo HQs, and Hara Yangfo, Kese Bagang, Krema Pao, Tarawa Yangfo with active participation from the community and local stakeholders.

At the programmes held at Nari Camp, Nampe Beyong, Eri Tajo and Domdila Tajo, Hayeng Mangfi, local MLA-cum-Advisor to the Minister WRD, Sama Bagang, BJP Chayangtajo mandal president, BJP mandal mahila morcha karyakartas, and a host of HoDs and other officials participated.

The programmes also incorporated Angan Ka Utsav, Angan Milan Seva, Seva Setu Abhiyan, Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, Angan Se Viksit Bharat, Anganwadi Samman, and Matru Samvad activities, with the objective of strengthening community participation and making AWCs more vibrant and responsive platforms for women and children.

During the programmes, MLA Mangfi interacted with Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), Anganwadi Helpers (AWHs), ASHA Didis, beneficiaries, Gram Panchayat Chairpersons (GPCs), Gram Panchayat Members (GPMs), SHGs, and other community stakeholders.

The interactions focused on strengthening community-based services relating to nutrition, maternal support, immunization, maternal and child health, early childhood care and development, and community service.

Emphasis was also laid on transforming AWCs into vibrant community platforms for nutrition awareness, maternal and child welfare, early childhood care and development, and community participation.

The initiative seeks to promote greater involvement of Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), Self-Help Groups, Village Health, Sanitation and Nutrition Committees, ASHA workers, AWWs, AWHs, beneficiaries, and other local stakeholders in strengthening the delivery of ICDS services at the grassroots level.

The Chayangtajo ICDS Project reiterated its commitment to making every AWC a centre of nutrition, care, learning, awareness, community participation and service, contributing to the broader vision of ‘Angan Se Viksit Bharat’ and strengthening the spirit of ‘Jan Seva Se Desh Seva’.
