ITANAGAR, Oct 3: Seva Pakhwada 2026, organized jointly by My Bharat Itanagar and the All Arunachal Youth for Nature Response (AAYNR), concluded on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, with a special community service at Deepak Nabam Living Home (DNLH) here on Friday.
The programme brought together young people, students, volunteers and community members to promote environmental awareness, nature conservation and the spirit of community service.
Major activities undertaken during Seva Pakhwada, which commenced on September 17, included environmental awareness campaigns, plantation drives, cleanliness drives (Shram daan) and social service.
Organized under the overall guidance of Vineeta Chaudhary (District Youth Officer, MY Bharat, Itanagar), and coordinated by AAYNR under the leadership of Takam Dominic, the program saw the conduct of a key awareness camp at Chimpu Govt Upper Primary School.
Students were encouraged to understand the connection between environmental protection, healthy communities and their own responsibilities as future citizens and environmental leaders.
The active participation of volunteers and students contributed to making the environmental component of Seva Pakhwada meaningful and community-oriented.
The Seva Pakhwada, befittingly, concluded with visit to DNLH on Gandhi Jayanti, adding a meaningful social dimension to the programme. The donation of essentials, plantation of an Ashoka sapling and interaction with the residents made the occasion a memorable culmination of the event.
