ITANAGAR, Oct 7: The Arunachal Pradesh unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday joined the nationwide Viksit Bharat Sankalp Sabha and Seva Jyoti Yatra to mark 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public service.
The programme was attended by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, BJP Arunachal in-charge Devesh Kumar, State BJP president Kaling Moyong, Itanagar Municipal Corporation Mayor Likha Nari Tadar, MLAs, Morcha office-bearers, party leaders and members of the public.
Addresses by Prime Minister Modi and BJP national president Nitin Nabin were telecast live during the programme, highlighting the vision of a developed India and the role of youth in realising the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047. Members of the business community, self-help groups, NGOs and other sections of society also participated.
Chief Minister Khandu led the Viksit Bharat pledge, with participants committing themselves to nation-building through excellence, innovation, technology, integrity, public service, youth participation, Jan Bhagidari and Sabka Prayas, and the collective resolve to realise the dream of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Seva Chowk was also inaugurated at Ganga Market near the Clock Tower here. The dignitaries, party leaders and workers subsequently participated in the Seva Jyoti Yatra, highlighting the values of public service, dedication and commitment to nation-building.
Similar programmes were organised in all district headquarters across Arunachal Pradesh, with the participation of elected representatives, including Ministers, MLAs, Zilla Parishad Chairpersons and party leaders and workers.
Addressing the media later, BJP state president Kaling Moyong congratulated Prime Minister Modi on completing 25 years of public service, beginning with his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister on October 7, 2001, and continuing as the Prime Minister of India since 2014.
Moyong said that Modi’s leadership has not only received the trust and acceptance of the people of India but has also earned recognition and respect on the global stage. He appealed to people to pray for the Prime Minister’s long life, good health and continued service to the nation.
The BJP State unit reaffirmed its commitment to the ideals of Seva, good governance, development, Jan Bhagidari and nation-building, in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
