DIRANG, Oct 24: Reflecting on its flagship initiative “Ek Aur DUA” -a movement dedicated to spreading goodwill, compassion, social harmony, and communal unity - a delegation from the Dream for United Arunachal led by its Chairman Dr Gumjum Haider, visited the newly consecrated Jangchub Chorten and ‘Peace Park’ erected in loving memory of Late Jambey Tashi, former Lumla MLA.
During the visit, the delegation paid deep obeisance at the sacred shrine, bowing in reverence to honour the enduring legacy and selfless public service of the departed leader. In a solemn atmosphere, prayers were offered for eternal peace of the departed soul.
A deeply moving highlight of the visit was the delegation’s interaction with the bereaved family members. Spreading warmth, empathy, and solidarity, Dr Haider shared personal memories and reflected on his close bond with Late Tashi, recalling him not only as a visionary leader dedicated to the welfare of people, but also as a cherished brother and guiding light whose commitment to community development and unity remains an enduring inspiration.
Speaking on the occasion, the DUA leadership reiterated that Late Tashi’s tireless efforts toward regional peace and grassroots empowerment perfectly align with the core ethos of Ek Aur DUA. The team reaffirmed its pledge to carry forward his ideals of unity, harmony, and selfless service across the State.
Later, the visiting team met local MLA and Advisor to PWD Minister Phurpa Tsering to discuss unity and long-term developmental goals of the State. Emphasizing that leaders represent the entire State rather than specific communities, the MLA praised the team’s ‘unified’ vision.
Commending the team's dedicated efforts, the MLA extended his best wishes to DUA and announced that he would join the team during the second phase of their tour to Eastern Arunachal.
Continuing their journey towards Tawang, team DUA also visited Sela Top and Jang Waterfall to spread the core motives of the Ek Aur DUA initiative.
