ITANAGAR, Nov 6: Governor Lt Gen (Retd) KT Parnaik has described the exposition of the Holy Relics of Lord Buddha Shakyamuni at Tawang, followed by Bomdila and Namsai, as a significant spiritual occasion that would deepen faith, strengthen cultural bonds and promote peace and harmony in society.
The Governor said Arunachal Pradesh is blessed with a rich Buddhist heritage, where the teachings of Lord Buddha have nurtured the values of compassion, wisdom, non-violence and peaceful coexistence for centuries.

Emphasising the wider significance of the event, Parnaik said the occasion goes beyond religious observance and serves as a reminder that lasting progress must be rooted in inner peace, ethical conduct, kindness and respect for all living beings.

On behalf of the people of Arunachal Pradesh, the Governor also expressed gratitude to the Union Ministry of Culture, the National Museum, New Delhi, the International Buddhist Confederation and the Holy Relics of Shakyamuni Buddha Darshan Coordination Committee, Itanagar, for facilitating the historic exposition.
